Mother's Day

We took an impromptu drive yesterday afternoon. We visited many fun Southern Idaho sites including the Twin Falls, Shoshone Falls, Cauldron Linn, and the Milner Wind Farm. It was so much fun to explore our little neck of the woods and have a chance to truly appreciate the beauty of this beautiful earth. I especially enjoyed a Mother's Day nap as we drove!

I was completely spoiled by my sweet husband and kids -- a lovely breakfast, thoughtful gifts and cards, lots of time together, and a nap! What more could any mom ask for?

I feel the need to mention what a dear and angelic soul my own mother is. She is a person to try emulate in all ways. I've never met anyone as patient, kind, and quick to forgive as she is. I hope to someday have a few of the qualities she possesses in great abundance. She lives a life of quiet service and devotion. Her greatest joy is her family and how she spends her time and resources bears witness of that fact. I love you, Mom. You are one of my greatest blessings in this life.

Straw Maze Fun

We spent a fun night as a family at the local straw maze. It's pretty elaborate and the kids had a fabulous time! I LOVE Autumn!!

Pictures from the Pumpkin Patch

As you can see, we had a great time, and successfully acquired 6 of the finest pumpkins $11 can buy! :)
By the way, my neighbor mentioned to me the other day that this year in Beverly Hills the big thing is to buy organic pumpkins. They're twice as much money -- and can I just ask -- if you're not going to eat it, does it really matter if it's organic? Duh, some people have more cents than sense.
