I'm not sure if it's the change in the seasons, the kids returning to school and routines, or just a long hiatus from all things crafty ... but I've really caught the sewing bug lately! Aside from putting together 3 quilt tops for our ward humanitarian project, I've also made 5 skirts (2 for Kate and 3 for her friends) and a hat for Jack in the last couple of weeks. The satisfaction of creating something usable with your hands is hard to put in to words! Sewing clothing is made infinitely more enjoyable by the incredibly cute fabric choices that abound. I'm especially lucky to have one of the greatest quilt shops in the west about 5 blocks from my front door. If you're a quilter or just love fabric you should really consider a trip to "The Gathering Place" here in Rupert.

Oh, man....I really want to get my sewing machine fixed and actually learn how to sew. Please, pretty please, would you come and give me a class?? Oh, and while you are at it, let's decorate my house, K?:) You are sooooo stinking amazing and so darn crafty. By the way, that's so awesome you are running, it's kind of addicting, huh? I think not gaining any weight is great accomplishment. Really, I run simply so I can eat what I want to eat....and, it just makes me feel good! You are awesome and I love ya!! What an awesome summer and way to go Todd and Kate on the swim team. They are so talented! Love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love the skirts!!!! Kate looked so cute on Saturday in her little skirt. I told her we helped pick out the fabric and she was grinning. I second the amazing fabric store. It was so fun to spend the day with you and Jack. I am not quite as good as you, I have only finished the cheer quilts. But I truly love to sew, it's in our genes!!!
